I'd choose Apple all day, but I also have the Beelink below which is a nice little option for a PC if you need something basic.
I have the previous generation MacBook Air and I am envious that they brought back the magsafe charging. This is a powerhouse with great battery and I think should be used by anyone who plugs into a monitor at home but needs to have it on hand when out and about. The new look is awesome too.
If the MacBook Air is a little too expensive, but you want a Mac and never need a computer that's not at your desk, this is a great option. Really fast and handles two monitors well (using Thunderbolt and HDMI together).
If you prefer PCs to Macs, this is a powerful mini computer. Like the Mac Mini, it works great with multiple monitors and is fast. I actually do have the less expensive one of these and I'll plug it in for certain tasks that requires Windows.
The first two monitors below I have hooked up to my Mac Mini. Either one works great as a second monitor for MacBook via USB-C (will charge and extend display perfectly). I've found that 1440+ resolution is a must for monitors. These are the two highest quality/ cost effective options on Amazon. I had a 49" 1080 Samsung monitor briefly which was great but the resolution was not good enough. I'm linking what looks to be the best 49" option but I do NOT personally own it but have read fantasti
I've gone through a ton of keyboards and other accessories and below are my favorites.
It comes with a mouse but it's worth it to buy just for the keyboard. I threw the mouse away. (see Anker mouse).
I have the old version of this that I've been using for 4 years it's unbelievable
I actually don't own this but the reviews are great, I love the ergonomics, and it's on my wishlist
Originally I was going to let my Mac Mini sit on my desk since it has such a small footprint and looks good but this thing is amazing at freeing up desk-space and keeping everything clean.
I have the 34" ultrawide mounted on this and it has worked great - I chose to drill a hole in my desk rather than use the clamp. This is a quality/ inexpensive product compared to many other monitor arms on Amazon.
If you've used Macs for a while, hopefully you are loving gestures - I have this in conjunction with an Anker mouse and I'm constantly reaching for it to expand my windows or show my apps.
Disagree? Contact and maybe I'll change something.
